LDC candle fragrances have been crafted by master perfumers. To keep your candles smelling sublime (and to prevent ‘smoking’) we ask that you trim the wick to 4mm before each lighting. We also recommend that you allow your candle to burn for a continuous 3-4 hours when lighting for the first time.

Please remember to blow out your candle before replacing the lid. When you are removing the lid, please be sure to pick it up from the sides and not from the bow, tassel or other details that adorn the top. Each candle hat has been hand-made by some of the finest craftsmen in England. We therefor ask that you handle the hat gently so that your candle can stay beautifully accessorised!

 

Reusing your Moody Muse Candle Container

LDC Moody Muse candles have been designed to double as a whimsical decorative object as well as an evocative fragrance enhancer.  If you would like to re-use your candle container (after full-burn usage) please follow these simple steps:

  • Remove the candle hat and place to one side
  • Place the candle container under a tap and turn the tap on warm to hot
  • Wait some moments for the water to melt the wax and turn off the tap
  • Carefully pour the hot water out of the container along with any melted wax
  • Repeat the three stages above until all of the wax is removed.
  • You may also wish to use a spoon or other tool to gently prise any remaining wax out of the conatiner

 

Fine Bone China Tableware & Mugs

There is nothing quite as exquisite as sipping tea from a cup of Fine Bone China. The tea is kept warmer and the overall experience is enhanced. To keep your china looking sublime and to elevate the quality of the taste, we recommend that you wash quickly after use and avoid using any abrasive substances or scouring pads.

Most of LDC Fine Bone China pieces are adorned with a shimmering 22 Carat gold rim. Whilst this detail is a stylish & elegant, it does mean that these items are not suitable for dishwasher use and under no circumstance are they to be used in the microwave.

 

Removing Stains

In the event that your china has incurred some stubborn stains, soaking the china in bleach solution for up to an hour should effectively remove any discolouration.

Should you wish to pursue a more natural approach to stain removal, bicarbonate of soda can also be used as an effective solution. Simply mix the bicarbonate with a small amount of water to form a paste, generously coat the surface of the china and leave to ‘rest’ for 1-2 hours. Use a damp cloth to firmly wipe away the bicarbonate and any stains should be removed in a few simple wipes.
